About the opportunity

Department Description

The Data Value function is based in India and supports Fidelity Worldwide Investment’s Sales, Marketing, Propositions, Risk, Finance, Customer Service and HR teams across the globe. The key objectives of the function are:

  • To develop deep customer insights for our businesses helping them segment and target customers more effectively
  • To develop a fact based understanding of sales trends and identify actionable sales growth opportunities for each of our sales channels
  • To understand customer preferences in terms of products, service attributes and marketing activity to help refine each of these
  • To help develop new services lines e.g. develop customer analytics for key IFAs, DC Clients, Individual clients etc.
  • To develop market and competitive intelligence in our key markets to help shape our business planning in those markets

The function works directly with business heads and other senior stakeholders to identify areas of analytics, define problem statements and develop key insights.

Purpose of the Role

As a Senior Analyst you will be aligned to the People Analytics domain driving the delivery of data-driven and actionable insights and help the business & HR make informed business decisions across multiple areas of human capital issues including, but not limited to, attrition, D&I, learning, mobility, and talent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will involve:

  • Design impactful analytical tools using Tableau/Power BI to drive people related decisions.
  • Maintain and enhancing existing insights dashboards and tackling standalone projects that primarily utilise good quality structured data and are more focused on visualisation.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across the HR function to promote data governance & assist in improving overall data quality and data models
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure smooth delivery. Work with the data owners to understand and gather data required to deliver the solutions
  • Work on advanced analytics projects using statistical and machine learning techniques.

Experience and Qualifications Required

Skills/Qualifications and Experience

Experience

  • Preferred Master’s degree in Human Resources or Statistics
  • Overall 2 to 4 years of experience in People Analytics
  • Experience with HR Data Analysis and HR domain Knowledge is preferred
  • Experience with visualization and presentation tools like Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Excel etc
  • 2+ years of experience in Python, SQL automating data preparation and manipulation processes
  • Experience in AWS, Snowflake will be an added advantage
  • Hands on experience in - Statistical Modelling /Machine Learning Techniques/Natural Language Processing will be an added advantage

Key Competencies

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage in discussion with senior stakeholders on defining business problems, designing analyses projects and articulating analytical insights to business managers
  • Experience with secondary data and knowledge of primary market research is a plus
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to independently own and manage the projects with minimal support
  • High degree of comfort in working with ambiguity
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong sense for structure and logic
  • Ability to develop, test and validate hypotheses
  • Competent at analysing both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Consistently reliable, methodical, adaptable, resourceful, enthusiastic, dedicated, self-motivated and commercially minded
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to work with people at all levels within and outside the Company
