Job Overview:

The Senior Payroll Administrator will respond to Internal and External Audit requests and Back-up for wage attachment, review, entry and follow up. They will also respond to employee inquiries regarding wage attachments as well as compile reports on a regular or as needed basis



Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Process garnishment function, as a backup, once trained
  • Process audit function, as a backup, once trained
  • Provide customer support function to employees, timekeepers, and managers as required
  • Ensures all SOX documents are completed for each on-cycle and off-cycle payroll
  • Maintain documentation for Mexico and Brazil (desk procedures, job aids, checklists)
  • Troubleshoot, document and communicate issues to management to be used in reporting
  • Ensure all payroll processing documents stored in proper files
  • Maintain payroll files regularly (electronically)
  • Cross-train on other processes as required
  • Contribute to process improvement opportunities

Note: The Senior Payroll Administrator will perform either:

  • Document the processes for Audit response; cross train on this function to act as a backup
  • Document the processes for Garnishments (extensive effort); cross train on this function to act as a backup

OR

  • Train on existing payroll processes, so that an existing resource can participate in HCM testing
  • Train on existing payroll processes, for continuity if we lose additional resources

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 5 years payroll; knowledge of union payments, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment, ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • High school diploma required; some college desired
