WHO IS OUR CLIENT?Petro Rabigh was founded in 2005 as a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical. The plant is valued at about US $10 billion and originally produced 18.4 million tons per annum (mtpa) of petroleum-based products and 2.4 mtpa of ethylene and propylene-based derivatives. Petro Rabigh II is an expansion project valued at US $9 billion that reached full production by 4th Quarter 2017 and provided a wide range of new high value-added products, some of which are exclusive to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to handle all tasks related to preperation of project engineering schedule and forecast. Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables. Prepare the execution plan of the assigned projects in timely and safe manner. Ensure close and active coordination with proponent and other support to secure safee and smooth project executions. Close minitor the project progress and manage the schedule and budget accordingly. Prepare monthly project status reports and change orders. Complete all documentation related to the close-out of the project.LHR Americas will go with you at every stage of the processRequirementsEducation/Certifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from reputable universities
  • Min. of 12 years experience (dependfing on the grade code and more than 12 years is prefered), with main experience in refining and/or petrochemical industry project execution.
Specific knowledge & business understanding
  • Experience in working with multiple discipline projects, with knowledge of covering major need of project executions
  • Working knowledge of safety & construction standards in live HC plants, and skills in coordinations with different parties.
  • Demonstrated experience in project execution management and construction site control
  • Planning and budget control skills is essential

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all scheduling activities on the project, Participation in initial planning for the project during design and procurement stage and identify overall critical path for Major projects. The following main tasks are undertaken by Project Engineer: Administration of Projects Coordination with all necessary Departments Procurement of contracts for execution Procurement of the necessary materials. Project execution Commissioning of the completed projects
  • Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects. Liaise with other departments, such as MFT, Inspection, Maintenance, Engineering Support and other functions as required. he should coordination with Industrial Security and Safety for the processing of ID’s and provide minimum safety training required by Company Corporate Safety Management System.
  • Assisst in screening of proposed projects at the very beginning of a project to prevent the waste of resources and prioritize of a project planning activities to make a more economic use of the available resources. At this stage project execution engineer will decide if a particular project will be executed in house or by construction contractor.
  • Budget monitoring and trend tracking. Review and approve project invoices. Ensures compatibility of schedules with budgetary cost requirements and recommends changes. Undertake Project budget vs expenses reviews to control the projects and avoid unnecessary financial disappointments.
  • Review and consolidate reports on project progress in order to support Management decision-making. The project execution engineer will be requested to report progress and spending on a quarterly basis in coordination with coorporate planning department.
  • Participating in proponent/ contractor meetings and resolving proponent/ engineering and management project issues. Extensive regular contact with project proponent.
  • Provide coaching to lower levels engineers and supervise their work to ensure proper transfer of skills and work performance as per standards.

  • Conditional Offer
