JOB SUMMARY May perform duties of Field Service Engineer and/or Service Center Engineer. Summary: Delivers post-sale services at customer sites including installation, maintenance and repair of organization and third-party products and services (e.g., performs teardown, diagnostic tests) to ensure that all function properly. Responds to customer questions regarding operation and malfunction. Helps ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventative maintenance and configurations that may favorably impact performance.

Service Centre: Overhauling, Testing, troubleshoots and repairs equipment and components in a service center environment according to established quality procedures; conducts tests to ensure that repaired products meet technical specifications. Advises product management and product development of recurring component failures. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Handling Horizontal & Vertical, Single & Multistage Pumps and associated systems. Service / maintenance and installation in many sectors of the industry, such as Offshore Platforms, Pipelines, Refineries, Petrochemical complexes, Thermal & Nuclear Power plants, Fertilizer & Chemicals etc.

Overhauling, Installation and Commissioning of all type of pumps and associated systems. Pump overhaul and repairs at site installations. Workshop based repair and overhaul of pumps and pumping equipment. Customer liaison and dealing with client queries.

Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact-based problem solving. Work on refurbishment of OEM products through mechanical upgrades and retrofit options to improve performance and efficiency. Analyze the performance data and the physical condition of the existing/returned parts to identify operational issues and provide solutions to overcome these issues. Work on replacement and reverse engineering of parts for existing equipments ensuring the fit and function of the original part are maintained.

Reading and understanding drawings and BOM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 5-10 years of experience in Service of pumps for O&G and Power segments. Knowledge of Centrifugal & Reciprocating pump overhauling. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, metallurgy, industry codes. Knowledge of pump manufacturing and pump testing.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer specifications, safety rules, Design concepts/layouts, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Experience in reading drawings, engineering documentation. Knowledge of aftermarket engineering process and project management related to Industrial products Strong interpersonal skills for communicating thoughts and ideas.
