Job Title: Senior Software Engineer– IT (I7), Hyderabad

About Business Unit:

Dell Digital & IT organization is on a journey to digitally transform and modernize IT for Dell Technologies and our customers. The design and architecture of our people, process and technology are paramount to enabling our business strategy. SDS IT team is an essential part of the Dell Digital team - building solutions that allows our customers to deliver on Dell’s current and transformational initiatives. You will play a defining role in the continuing evolution of Dell’s Service Tools & Technologies delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

In essence, we’re looking for a tester, comfortable in an Agile environment, to developing test scripts from Requirements/Stories and capable of supporting Business testers through a UAT cycle.

  • Testing
    • 6-8 years Testing experience in Agile environment
    • Understands and applies principles, concepts, theories, technologies and standards of professional testing
    • Test script development (in Microsoft TFS would be advantageous)
    • Test data verification
    • Defect Triage (i.e. is the reported defect genuine code defect or tester error, data related, script problem etc.)
    • Knowledge of Automated Testing techniques (Selenium / Java / Page Object Model advantageous)

Essential Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of software testing/IT engineering/business support experience. Out of this at least 4+ technical program management experience
  • 2 to 3 Years of experience with Microsoft TFS and Release Planning
  • Have depth and width of decision making maturity. Be able to gain trust & respect of engineering, dependent teams and stakeholders to deliver results
  • Ability to manage and influence team members without direct reporting authority
  • An ability to think independently & identify issues beyond stated situation
  • Development and application of specialized knowledge within own discipline
  • Deepening of their knowledge through exposure to new assignments and continuous learning
  • Building a deeper understanding of Business processes, procedures, customers and organization where they worked
  • Integrity, strong work ethic & good communication skills.
  • Lead direct a small team of testers (utilizing the test scripts from above)
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and make progress with resources not primarily assigned to their project
  • Monitor, Measure & Report on progress
  • Desirable Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM Testing methodologies and software development lifecycle principles
  • SCRUM Master certification a plus
  • Experience with Selenium preferred
