Roles and Responsibilities


As an automotive Service Manager, you should be self-motivated, result oriented, Energetic, Lead team, quick decision maker. You should have an ability to identify current service challenges and provides perfect solution by keeping customer satisfaction aspect as well.

You will need an excellent understanding of the Dealerships products, services and territory deeply. Your role is to provide superb Customer Service by leading and motivating the customer service team, developing loyalty programs and creating customer satisfaction goals.

A manager manages and handles customer service interactions, report and repairs. Ensures customer service, maintains strong relationships with Customers and third-party vendors and ensures repeat customers.

  • Identifying current Business challenges and ability to understand current business requirements and design constructive plan.
  • Improving Customer Satisfaction through coordinating with Inter-sections.
  • Revenue generation through increasing customer base.
  • Promoting Service Brand through various developing Network Channeling.
  • Planning requirements of manpower, hiring, orientation, fixing up job responsibilities,targets,supervise and conducting appraisal.
  • Readiness of second line by promoting existing manpower based on appraisal.
  • Incentive scheme planning and disbursement for customer care team.
  • Ensuring Employee Pulse Survey twice in a year and action planning based on feedback to improve employee satisfaction.
  • Create harmony among all the departments for effective teamwork .
  • Manage operating expenses effectively .
  • Initiating housekeeping,workplace safety and hygiene .
  • Decision on procurement, maintenance of Tools, equipment’s & other resources.
  • Smooth industrial relation.
  • Field campaign(Retro)monitoring and completion within stipulated timeline.
  • Review of vehicle off road/open RO beyond allowable period .
  • Improve productivity for optimum usage of infrastructure.
  • Keep a tab on outstanding with debtors and follow up for recovery .
  • Ability to make business forecast and budget for the service department.
  • Ability to analyze data and take corrective actions.
  • Should have good interpersonal relationship and a good team leader.
  • Ability to control costs within allocated budget.
  • Ability to train,develop and motivate department employees.
  • Eye for detail and be a process champion.
  • Good under standing of MDW(DMS).
  • Computer literate (MSWord,Excel,PowerPoint)
  • Musthavegoodcommunicationandlisteningskillswithhighlevelofempathy.
  • Build relationships with the customers

Desired Candidate Profile

Graduate/Diploma in engineering with management qualification preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in automobile workshop,service function.

At least 2 years as team leader or department head role.
