Job Description

Your main responsibilities

• Help to set up, migrate, tune, troubleshoot and manage applications in Cloud (Azure)
• Support and provide resolution to technical issues that may raise and drive it to investigate, debug and solve.
• Recommend & lead implementation of stability, & performance enhancement initiatives of the platform.
• Recommend & lead implementation of advanced monitoring & alerting of the platform.
• Active involvement in major incidents (2LS troubleshooting, including on-call where necessary).
• In case of incidents or problems, support, and coordinate with the stakeholders for diagnosis and recovery from the service disruptions, report comprehensive status to management.
• Guard in and evolve platform components as primary SME

Education and Years of Experience

• 6+ years of experience in working on cloud technologies
• Experience of working in the production environment.
• Experience in setting up and migrating applications to the cloud

Technical Skills

• Strong Operational experience in running services on Azure and another Public Cloud Provider (AWS or Google Cloud Platform) across a portfolio of services (VMs, Containers, Functions, Microservices, Automation/Orchestration, Networking/Content Delivery, Database, etc.)
• Fluent in writing blueprints for docker containers.
• Expert level knowledge in Microsoft Azure serverless compute, Data technologies, Azure managed services viz API Management, App Gateway, Azure Monitor, Azure batch, etc. and PaaS, offering
• Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration technologies viz. Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase, etc.)
• Proficiency in concepts like microservices, messaging, streaming, component integration, stateless & stateful sets
• Working knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability, and other technologies and principles that support business continuity; experience with DR capabilities in cloud and/or virtualized environments
• Expertise with enterprise data center technologies including storage platforms, network switching, and security infrastructure within a virtualized data center
• Experience with standard software development methodologies, knowledge of Agile methodology is highly desirable
• Excellent communication (written & oral) and organizational skills; self-motivated, hands-on, entrepreneurial
• Passionate to strive for Customer experience and on-time delivery
• Implementation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and reliable operation of cloud environments.
• Provide support for our IT environment, covering Microsoft operating systems, VMware hosts, Active Directory, and our evolving public cloud environments.
• Maintain and manage regular security patches and remediate vulnerabilities in the entire stack
• Complies with security standards and technical design
• Actively manage, improve, and monitor cloud infrastructure/services on Azure/OpenShift PaaS
• Build and deploy docker containers to break up monolithic apps into microservices improving developer workflow, increasing scalability, and optimizing speed
• Deployment using Linux, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, Autoscaling, Ansible
• Prior experience working with product management to prioritize roadmap items for delivery
