Your Role and Responsibilities
As a The Cyber Threat Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of the Cyber Threat Diagnostic service offering within the Intelligence Capability Development team. The Cyber Threat Analyst will be responsible for processing, organizing and analysing incident indicators retrieved from the client environment as well as correlating said indicators to various intelligence holdings. The Cyber Threat Analyst will also be responsible for assisting in the coordination with internal teams as well as in the creation of engagement deliverables.

• Build and maintain targets that allow for the efficient and accurate collection of information of threat intelligence value in order to satisfy research requirements.
• Monitor specific cyber threat actors or groups to understand their tactics, techniques and procedures.
• Tracking cybercrime and hacktivism threats in APAC based on based on technical analysis, forums and social media monitoring, and publicly available sources
• Collaborate with other cyber threat researchers based on subject matter expertise
• Clearly communicate findings in written reports (in English)
• Investigate impact to customers to determine if new detections or compromise notifications are necessary
• Protect proprietary company and personal information from disclosure
• Respond to tasking and direction as provided by the team leader
• Tracking and analysing threat campaigns
• Conducting self-directed-research and research initiatives
• Ability to do Dark Web research
• Differentiating between data and thought
• Advanced malware analysis

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3+ years of work experience in one or more of the following roles: Cyber Threat Researcher, Cyber Crime investigations
• Ability to analyze malware or other malicious data specific to cybercrime activity
• Understanding of computer intrusions, malicious code, threat finance, money laundering / fraud / eCrime, and other criminal activity
• Experience with OSINT, source verifications, and TTPs
• Experience researching dark web and tracking threads
• Experience writing clear and concise reports
• Strong technical understanding of cyber threats
• Strong Understanding of operational security (OPSEC)
• Prior experience working as a cyber threat researcher or analyst.
• Competence with Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.
• Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal direction and maximum accountability.
  

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• One or more security certifications: CEH, Security+, GSEC, GCIH, etc.,
• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
