Organization: Fixed Networks

Position: Software Engineer


Daily activities:

As a software engineer in the Fixed Networks team you will:

  • gain general knowledge of Fixed Network solutions, Broadband Network, different PONs (Passive Optical Network) types implementation
  • Participate on System Integration, software upgrade/migration of customer networks
  • get practical experience with using Python for WEB applications (REST API), React
  • Webservices
  • Get familiar with containerized software
  • familiarize with SDN solutions for Fixed Network (Nokia Altiplano Access controller, SEBA, VOLTHA, and more…) , NOKIA Home wifi solutions
  • Intent-Based Networking
  • work with the mentor and the team
  • maintain documentation in English
  • work on customer projects under supervision of Mentor(s)

  • Operating systems: Linux
  • Methodologies: CI/CD, Agile, SCRUM
  • Next generation technologies

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology or Computer Science

  • Min 1-2 years exp , preferably in Telecom Industry.
  • programming skills (C++, Python, JavaScript, JAVA)
  • object oriented programming understanding
  • Linux environment knowledge
  • problem solving and analytical skills
  • team-player attitude
  • good spoken and written English
  • Work on flex time zones , occasional weekend working
