Corporate Technology

The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).

CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.

A top CT priority is purpose-building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus is on:

  • Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
  • Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs - Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Application Portfolio and Platforms
  • Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
  • Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
  • Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency

Controls & Operational Risk Technology supports - identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks followed by coordinated application of resources to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end production and delivery of machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions in support of the Control Management Organization
  • Experiment, develop and productionize high quality machine learning models and services to improve system execution of operational risk related process reviews, risk & control assessments, and continuous metric driven targeted analyses
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, Controls and Operational Risk technology teams, and other JPMC machine learning teams around the firm
  • Design and implement highly scalable and reliable data processing pipelines and perform analysis and insights to drive and optimize business result
  • Develop domain expertise in the operational risk and control space with the ability to improve projects, determine solutions, and resolve issues
  • Manage/participate in multiple project work-streams concurrently
  • Utilize agile methodologies and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation
  • Display efficient work style with attention to detail, organization, and strong sense of urgency

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or MS in a quantitative field, e.g. Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Physics, Astronomy, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience with Python or similar programming language
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Alteryx, Splunk, Tableau, Python Pandas, Matplotlib, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, SciPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Experience with end-to-end SDLC (Git, Docker, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with modern technology practices (agile, test driven development)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of functional groups at various levels.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability.
  • Flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with Python or similar programming language
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) (NLTK, spaCy, Gensim)
  • Experience with cloud computing frameworks (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
  • Knowledge of cloud computing SDLC and best practices (Containers, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka)
