Principal Software Engineer

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve


As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments
  • Prepare, review and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • Strong background in web tier and middle tier development with object-oriented programming experience with C#.
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET Core, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with Azure services like App Gateway, Functions, AKS, IOT Hub, Event Hubs, Service bus etc
  • Familiar with writing secure code and following security best practices.
  • Programming to a back end relational DB system like PostgreSQL is required. NoSQL and related systems experience a plus
  • Experience developing highly responsive data driven consumer facing sites using C#, web-scale architecture, and multi-tenant software platforms is desirable.
  • Proficient in consuming & publishing Web Services (SOAP) and Web API’s (REST).
  • Strong problem solving skills required
  • Excellent proactive communications and planning skills
  • Reviewing/creating code, designs, specs, documentation and test plans
  • Collaboration with other engineers/groups.
  • Exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction


Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience with test automation frameworks
  • Knowledge of TDD and CICD DevOps
  • Knowledge of security concepts and authentication protocols
  • Experience in using tolls like Jira/ Github / Jenkins for agile development methodologies
