This position is for the Data Management Division’s Cloud Disaster Recovery product and needs skills and experience of delivering solutions with high standards for the quality.

We’re developing the next generation Data Protection platform, for the Data Protection Division, built on top of state-of-the-art technology stack. You’ll be working with multiple cloud vendors (AWS, AZURE) developing a technology/product for backup & recovery of Virtual Machines.

We work in large scale agile methodologies with the teams spread over the globe. Each scrum team has ownership of the component and works with the rest of the teams to deliver new exciting features.

You Will:

• Provides technical expertise by independently determining and developing approaches to solutions for a wide range of complex software engineering problems. Assignments may include new products as well as upgrades, and enhancements or fixes to existing products.
• Collaborates well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily shares information.
• Offers proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and products, exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment.
• Interacts cross functionally on matters that require coordination across functional/organizational lines.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction.
• Understands and adheres to cost/delivery/quality targets established during the program design phase.
• Works effectively with cross-functional and/or global teams, readily shares information with others.

Essential Skills:

• Experience: 8 - 12 Years.
• Experience with requirements clarification and capturing, work planning, documenting solution design, development tasks decomposition and tracking.
• Experience in Java, J2EE programming, coding, debugging.
• Experience in relational databases like PostgresSQL.
• Experience in cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience in version control, bug tracking systems like SVN, Git, JIRA.
• Experience in Linux.
• General knowledge and application of engineering concepts.
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of business environment.
• Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions.
• Time management skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.

Desired Competencies

• Knowledge of scrum methodology.
• Experience in the role of Product Owner.
• Experience in web UI development - HTML5 etc.
• Experience in work with JBoss Server.
• Understanding of virtualization technologies.

BE, B Tech (any stream), M. Sc (Electronics, Computer Science), M.C.A
