The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Engineer responsible for Escalation (Sustenance) engineering of DELLEMC Unity product line.

Should be able to review code and propose fix requirement to development to address bugs.

Debugging and analytical skills to narrow down issues to its root cause.

Perform core dump analysis using GNU tools.

Take ownership of features and handle Customer Escalations on the same, Handling Critical issues

Interact and communicate regularly and effectively with globally wide Customer base and Tech Support teams.

Able to simulate complex environments and replicate customer scenarios.

Provide a RCA or review an RCA to ensure accuracy, completeness, while anticipating and diffusing potential questions.

Essential Requirements

Strong Storage domain knowledge in NAS, FileSystems, File access protocols[NFS, SMB]

Strong knowledge and hands-on of LDAP, AD.

Strong knowledge and experience on Linux/Unix internals.

Solid Concepts in Operating Systems

Strong technical aptitude, problem solving skills and analytical ability

Strong Written and verbal communication skills

Coding experience in C/C++

Experience in performance analysis of enterprise level storage boxes

Expertise on analyzing TCP/IP and wire-shark

5 - 8 years relevant experience

Desirable Requirements

Knowledge of any scripting language [Perl, Python or Shell]
