Applications are invited by Meghalaya Police for appointment of 1(one) Senior IT Consultant, 2(two) IT

Consultants and 14(Fourteen) Data Entry Operators (DEO) on contractual basis for CCTNS Project. Interested

Subject: Recruitment to the post of Senior Consultant / Consultant / Data Entry Operator (DEO).

Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS)

Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) is a planned scheme conceived in

the light of experience of a non-plan scheme namely - Common Integrated Police Application

(CIPA). CCTNS is a Mission Mode Project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) of

Govt. of India. CCTNS aims at creating a comprehensive and integrated system for enhancing

the efficiency and effectiveness of policing through adopting of principle of e-Governance and

creation of a nationwide networking infrastructure for evolution of IT-enabled-state-of-the-art

tracking system around ’Investigation of crime and detection of criminals’. An allocation of Rs.

2000 crores has been made for CCTNS Project. Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs

(CCEA) has approved the project on 19.06.2009.

Implementing agency of CCTNS Project in the state (Meghalaya Police) is looking for young,

talented, innovative and dynamic Professionals who desire to be a part of the team that is

scripting the exciting transformation story which is unfolding in India today. Details of the same

are given below:

1. Number of Vacancies:

a. 1 (one) post of Senior IT Consultant.

b. 2 (two) posts of IT Consultants.

c. 14 (Fourteen) Posts of Data Entry Operators (DEO).

2. Type of appointment:-Contract Basis (Initially for One Year)

3. Method of Recruitment: Skill test and Personal Interview.

4. Pay:

A. Senior IT consultant salary at the rate of Rs.50,000/- (per month) (Rupees Fifty

thousand)

B. IT consultant salary at the rate of Rs.45,000/-(per month) (Rupees Forty five

thousand)

C. Data Entry Operator (DEO) at the rate of Rs. 15,000/-(per month) (Rupees Fifteen

Thousand) (5 posts for Western Range and 9 posts for Eastern Range / PHQ

Shillong)

Officers appointed on contract basis would not be entitled to residential accommodation, official

transport, leave encashment or any other allowances/facilities as admissible to a regular

government employee. Leave rules applicable to a regular Government employee will not be

applicable to a contractual appointee. However, the appointee will be entitled for leave as per

terms of contract.

5. Educational Qualification:

Educational Qualification and requirement for Senior Consultant, Consultant and Data Entry

Operator (DEO) are as follows:-

9. Scope of work:-

10. Mode of Application:- The applicants are required to submit application in the

prescribed format (Application format enclosed). They are also required to submit self-

attested supporting documents. Eligible candidates will be intimated about the interview

date after the scrutiny of applications.

11. Incomplete applications or applications without the supporting documents or applications

received after the last date will be summarily rejected & no further communication will

be entertained in this regard.
