Sr Network Engineer

SUMMARY:

Operates company’s complex high traffic, business critical internet site communications and/or network-based product systems. Plans, designs and implements scalable local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP). Responsible for system performance; supports/troubleshoots network issues and coordinates installation of such items as routers and switches with appropriate vendors. Develops tools to automate the deployment, administration and monitoring of a network system. Provides training and assists with proposal writing. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons and works on project implementation. Works with development teams to enhance and improve system operability. Conducts tests of network redundancy, resilience and failover of network elements to ensure up-time standards are fully achieved. May be required to provide on-call service coverage with other department employees.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security.

Performs the installation, maintenance, repair, and monitoring of LAN Physical Infrastructure to ensure proper functionality and performance, including associated operating system software and hardware components such as routers, bridges, switches, hubs, and associated cabling and wiring

Performs the installation, maintenance, repair, and monitoring of the WAN environment to ensure proper functionality and performance, including associated operating system software and hardware components such as routers, CSU/DSUs, and any telecommunications cabling or wiring.

Provide Level I network support by troubleshooting, and resolving incidents. Help to ensure optimal network performance by assisting with performance and capacity monitoring and making and implementing recommendations to resolve identified issues.

Develops and implements applicable business processes and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Willing to work in 24/7 environment

Associate’s degree in computer science or related field.

3years of related experience required

Network infrastructure experience required. Experience with configuration changes (ACL, routing, switching, fire wall, f5, f8 certificates, etc.)
