Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Own and deliver medium-sized quality engineering tasks while mentoring and helping team members

  • Make technology choices at individual level and analyze impact

  • Apply principles of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, Continuous Integration, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

  • Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process

  • Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project

  • Demonstrate the understanding of Agile test development (feature-based and release-based automation

  • Develop test strategy and test plans for projects

  • Participate in developing and reviewing the test policies for organization.

  • Defining the scope of testing within the context of every release and every software testing level or cycle.

  • The use of resources in an effective way and managing the resources for software testing.

  • Applying the appropriate test measurement and metrics for the software product and testing team.

  • Identify and resolve the project risks in testing team

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

  • A minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in Testing

  • Minimum of 2+ year of experience in Testing Lead role.

  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programing software design patterns and principles.

  • Need to have understandings on testing Mobile Native, Hybrid application (iOS, Android and Windows) and Responsive apps.

  • Knowledge of Automation tools like Appium, Espresso, and XCUITEST.

  • Knowledge of cloud based tools Like Perfecto Mobile, SeeTest, AWS device farm, Browser Stack, Edge Inspector and Sauce labs.

  • Experience with automation IDE’s (Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, etc.).

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with JUnit, TestNg and Page Object Model.

  • Experience with automation framework standards (common/custom libraries, exception handling, reports, and code reviews) adherence.

  • Experience with test data management and data-driven development.

  • Knowledge of continuous integration tools (GitHub, Cruise Control, Jenkins, etc.).

  • Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems such as Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, and/or Oracle.

  • Web Services testing experience in REST (JSON, WADL) and SOAP (JAXB, WSDL, XML) is preferred.
