Sr. Software Engineer

Job Description Summary As a Senior developer, you will contribute to next generation digital platform to power GE Healthcare digital properties. You will oversee and implement template, Layouts, Sub layouts, Sitecore content delivery for .NET environment. You will evaluate other CMS products and vendors; Define best practices, establishes standards, actively contributes to creation of generic Sitecore modules, frameworks and reusable extensions. You will be responsible for programing a components, features and/or feature sets. You will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to design discussions.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure

• Apply principles of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, Continous Integration, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

• Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen

• Analyze and review the business requirements for customer engagement automation tool(s). Translate and convert the business requirements to global IT teams from business language to IT language by closely working with IT architects and relevant IT teams.

• Thorough understanding of Digital Marketing, Analytics, Content Management Systems , Document Management Systems, Cloud concepts

• Translate functional & customer experience requirements to Sitecore technical designs.

• Estimate effort for implementation of Sitecore designs.

• Design and implement templates & layouts for Multi-site, Multi-lingual, Multichannel scenarios.

• Design and Implement all schema types including metadata/parameter schemas.

• Create and deploy medium/high complexity layouts and templates such as C# / .NET user controls, pages using Visual Studio.

• Develop Page and Data Templates Sitecore &.NET and/or XSL templates using XSLT.

• Design, develop and debug templates with Template builder.

• Develop and configure workflows.

• Implement security configuration using groups, roles and permissions. With possibility of SSO and social media logon (LinkedIn, Facebook etc.)

• Diagnose and solve common problems related to Sitecore implementation.

• Support sizing, capacity planning and non-functional requirement specification, benchmarking and recommendations for Sitecore solutions.

• Oversee installation, configuration and tuning of Sitecore in .NET environment.

• Design and implement integrated / automated translation solutions for multi-lingual solutions using translation manager integrated with Sitecore or other external translation environments.

• Evaluate other CMS products/vendors and articulate relative positioning of each CMS vendor in the multi-channel marketing and commerce space.

• Participate in workshops with business and technical clients to support problem definition and identification of key business processes.

• Liaise with Sitecore product engineering, professional services and support to help drive solutions.

• Drive mapping of business requirements to CMS capabilities across more than one CMS package.

• Define best practices, development standards to manage performance and scalability of the CMS/CDS application and work with stakeholders to manage CMS performance issues and dependencies.

• Define best practices for implementing content personalization solutions to enable targeted content delivery using Sitecore Profiling and personalization, SEO and Performance Optimization solution.

• Design, configure and implement OMS from analytics integration and data capturing perspective.

• Mentor and share knowledge, improve processes and develop systematic solutions for foundational & common business needs.

Qualification/Requirements:

• Engineering / BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent

• 6+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 4+ years’ experience in Implementation and Maintenance of Applications on Sitecore platform.

Desired Skills

• Good expertise on UI Design, Bootstrap Framework, React JS

• Sitecore/ React JS full stack implementation expertise will be added advantage

• Proficiency in C#, .NET, COM, ASP.NET and SiteCore module skills

• Proficient in Sitecore SXA and Sitecore JSS.

• Expert in SiteCore foundational concepts, Layouts, Sub layouts, Templates, Workflows and Security.

• Proficient in multi-channel marketing product portfolio including Aliasing, Outbound email, Polls, Web Forms, communication statistics.

• Expert in end-to-end content lifecycle, web content management and delivery processes.

• Expert in integration patterns with a Search, Polls, Micro Sites, Commerce package, Payment Gateways or other platforms.

• Experienced in handling multi country rollouts and managed multiple instances of Sitecore
