* To take care of the health of the patients who are admitted for eye surgery due to systemic and non-eye care emergencies

* To be an active member in the Hospital Infection Control Committee and contribute with new ideas to reduce the Hospital acquired infections.

* Must assess the condition of the systemic problems of patients admitted for eye surgery and assess the condition at regular intervals till the patient is discharged

* Check the physical condition of the systemic patients pre-operatively and post operatively and to monitor high risk patients.

* To check the BP chart and insulin chart during rounds.

* If needed, administer medications as per the doctor’s advice.
