Role Purpose
The CDO was set up in 2019 to establish a set of guidelines across the organisation. The CDO and Enterprise Data Governance Office (EIG) is responsible for defining and managing adoption of data policy and standards at the Group-Level. The DGT is the execution arm of the CDO and EIG as tasked with creating and publishing guidelines that support the Group-Level Data Strategy as defined by the CDO.
One of the roles of the DGO is to analyse the adoption impacts and develop relevant approach, tasks and plans to deliver the customer data strategy to assigned business area(s). This is a global implementation to each of the business Lines of business (post trade, capital mkt, D&A)
This role is responsible for working with a wide variety of stakeholders to analyse, define, provide readiness, and implement a customer data strategy, policies, and standards for all customer types across the organisation.
Reports to -Sr. Manager Data Governance Tech - DORT
Key relationships & committees
Strong relationships with broader CDO, DGO, Technology team, other Technology teams covering security, networking, Cloud, and business stakeholders in organisation business domains / Divisions e.g. HR, Finance, Facilities, Risk & Compliance.

  • In depth experience and understanding of data analysis, strategy, standards, and architecture across different lines of business
  • Experience of successfully implementing data governance and management solutions within large complex organisations
  • Familiarity with external providers of data
  • Experience working within large, complex organisations data requirements
  • Experience working in diverse, geographically dispersed financial institutions
  • Highly structured and organised individual with the ability to work with multiple and diverse inputs
  • Strong presence and gravitas with the ability to establish oneself
  • Knowledge of Data Governance tools and technologies in support of Data Management
Impact
This role sets the data governance management technology direction of the overall adoption and data initiatives and therefore can influence cost and timelines to the assigned projects.
Personal skills and capabilities
  • Experience of working as Tech BA for CDO, Regulatory and Data Management programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partners and to listen to identified concerns and adapt accordingly
  • Ability to influence across multiple functions (technical and non-technical)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • To quickly build up a working knowledge of applications by working with others and reading up on new applications
  • A continuous desire and willingness to learn and develop your current knowledge and skillset
  • Flexible in approach, adapting plans and delivering works
  • Analytical person with a strong intuition for business and well-versed in current Regulatory trends, Data Governance, technological trends, and business concepts
