Job Description:

Job Role Summary

  • The main requirement of this position is a Process Metallurgist for copper process improvement & new process development.

  • Well conversant with various characterization techniques & tools

  • Use metallurgical process fundaments & engineering aspects for further improvement in process design, refractory life and operating practices

  • Plant trials & experimental work for validation & tuning of models

  • Interpretation of experimental results & data for root cause analysis.

  • Deliver technical solution through developmental R&D program.

  • Scientific & technical ideation & scoping of new R&D projects.

  • Publications and Presentations in referred journals and conferences.


Job Requirements

  • Master degree with min. 3 years of experience from the IIT or other recognized university in Metallurgical Engineering with good academic and professional work experience in CFD modeling.

Must have
  • Strong research back-ground with industrial experience in Process Metallurgy (Ferrous /non-ferrous)
  • Knowledge in Material characterization, thermodynamics (Factsage, Thermocalc) & kinetics.
  • Problem solving capability
  • Hands-on experience with high temperature experiments
  • Willingness to work in a team member/Project leader & for a longer stay at plant for data collection, trial and implementation
  • Communication skills related to project management

Good to have
  • Experience/knowledge in Process modeling
  • Knowledge of electro- and hydro-metallurgy
  • Programming & Data analytics skills
  • Research experience in R&D projects


Qualifications:
Other Degree,Master In Technology

Minimum Experience Level:
2-3 Years
