Job Purpose


Manage all new IT initiatives for defined functions in terms of closing budget planning, requirements, scoping and working towards solution- delivery /SCM closure and tracking of end delivery, with providing regular updates to senior leaders. Play a key role in strategizing, planning along with functional teams basis business values/ROI, the IT implementations/requirement would bring in.



Key Result Areas/Accountabilities


As a demand manger he/she will Perform Requirement gathering at high level for quarterly/monthly budgeting exercise by engaging with business users 

  • Conduct workshops with various stakeholders for all the requirements of new and enhancements to existing tools and applications and processes
  • Address requirements based on stipulated benefits and justified ROI
  • 
  • Work with required BA and SA and application teams for system impacts and solution approach basis the functional requirement specification.
  • Get FRS document from team and seek sign off from business
  • 
  • Clarify queries/comments between user and BA and close FRS sign off and closure of solution documents 
  • Get NFA/BPA raised and approved in case of commercial projects.
  • Get delivery plans from delivery teams basis priority discussions and overall delivery capacity
  • Ensure getting UAT test cases aligned from Business users for timely UAT
  • 
  • Establish review meetings with business users to ensure track milestones, manage risks, resolve issues/conflicts and provide periodic status reporting on multiple on-going demands.
  • 
  • Manage dependencies for success of a project through effective interaction with other functions such as Infrastructure, application Owners, Release Management, Quality Assurance, Security Management, and Governance etc.
  • 
  • Engage with internal IT teams and monitor demands progress regularly. Escalate concerns to the right forums.


Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience


  • 12-15+ years strong experience in telecom domain involving IT applications for use by business teams
  • Good understanding of IT Applications involving employee/HR journeys
  • Good understanding of technologies related to, telecom ESS/BSS applications, best practices, agile processes and emerging technologies
  • 
  • Be an effective communicator ( oral and written), highly organized, good multi-tasker and possess interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to professionally interact with a diverse project team, managers and executives
  • 
  • Good analytical and strategic skills and focus
  • 
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communications skills
  • Proactive, can work individually but very good team player.
  • Ability to handle and resolve complex, ambiguous situations and identify right approach for resolution


Must have technical / professional qualifications


  • Have B.E./ B.Tech graduation degree. Post-graduation (MBA) will be preferred
  • 
  • Have understanding and hands - on experience in HR applications / processes and architecture.

  • Have understand on Telecom technical processes
  • 
  • Skills and Methodologies ( SDLC) to be known
  • Hands on Telecom Domain expertise
  • 
  • Prior experience of working with large IT setups preferably in Telecom covering multiple projects and transformation programs in multi-vendor scenario
  • 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to present in wider forums for the purpose of requirement elaboration, approach discussions and expectation management

  • Prior experience of doing a functional/ Requirements understanding, Business Analyst role in HR/Telecom domain using various methodologies will be an added advantage.
