Job Requirements

Job purpose

The primary purpose of the role is to provide efficient production schedules for all site manufacturing departments to meet customer demands and ensure raw material and packaging resources available.

Main duties
  • The scheduling of all site production departments timely and efficiently to meet customer demand.
  • Develop and monitor schedules daily and liaison with the Customer Services / Production departments across India to optimize and prioritize production plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate capacity requirements with timely communication of potential issues.
  • Maintenance of minimum agreed stock levels where specified in SAP.
  • Daily scheduling of incoming customer orders which are not available from inventory.
  • Liaise with other Unifrax manufacturing facilities and/or sub-contractors for items which may not be manufactured at Lakhtar.
  • Purchase of pallets, packaging items, pails, labels, and raw materials to ensure all materials are on site to meet the production demand/plan.
  • Correct goods movement with errors via SAP COGI function for areas of responsibility.
  • Participate in physical inventory checks as required. Develop and exercise cycle counting inventory control with manufacturing & warehouse teams.
  • Follow indian Sample Procedure, raising any issues when necessary.
  • Follow Indian procedures as set for Production Planners, raising any issues when necessary.
  • Review and ensure BOM’s are accurate and current.
  • Discuss key production plans and any finer points of contention with Alice Mason prior to starting the production campaign, namely:-
  • Production delays to be communicated with Alice Mason.
  • Ensure timely dialogue and communication with Alice Mason.
  • Working with the manufacturing and process engineering team to develop efficient / generic and efficient schedules.
Additional Duties

Liaison with all internal departments i.e.:-
  • Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Warehousing, Customer Service & Engineering.
External liaison with suppliers, sales engineers and members of the European planning and logistics functions.

Job Competencies
  • Excellent communication skills, reporting and dialogue at all levels
  • Be computer literate, with SAP and Microsoft Office experience.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of manufacturing site functional departmental needs.
  • Be able to builds strong working relationships.
