We are looking for a Process Safety Expert at Gwalior. Location.

Role - Process Safety Manager.

Qualification - B.Tech/ M.Tech Chemical or Diploma in Chemical Eng. With relevant exp in Process safety domain.

Reporting - Site Safety Head.

Job Location - Near Gwalior.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as Subject matter expert for site to drive process safety management to achieve excellence in it
  • Conduct process hazard analysis and conduct HazOp and risk assessment for the processes and activities at site.
  • Ensure safe transfer of new products and processes at various stages like project, Scale up and before taking new any batch.
  • Evaluate process calculations like vent sizing, Utility load, Heat balance, Gas evolution, Line sizing etc.
  • Carry out material and energy balance
  • Conduct dispersion modelling.
  • Assessment of basis of Safety and evaluate EHS by design checklist .
  • Expertise on conducting analysis on RC1, DSC, TSU, ARSST and interpretation of results and suggest actions.
  • Evaluate change controls at site and give recommendations. Conduct PSSR.
  • Should lead chemical risk management program at site with safe introduction of new chemicals at site.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis, Safety Audits and Surveys in various plants areas.
  • Evaluate powder safety data and suggest actions for safe handling of powders.
  • Analyze process safety related accidents & near miss to find the root cause, suggest remedial measures.
  • Prepare procedures / SOPs for the implementation of the Safety Management System at site.
  • Formulate Procedures/ Guidelines /Work instructions for the safely handling Hazardous Chemicals / materials, their storages and safe disposal.
  • Plan and implement proper Fire protection system for all potential hazard storages /installations & processes.
  • Prepare HAZMAT and MOCK drill procedures and conduct the periodical drills in the plant.
  • Conduct trainings to employees on process safety to upgrade skills at site.
  • Work closely site EHS team closely to sustain safe EHS culture.
  • Ensure compliance with legal obligations and remain updated with the new regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain the area risk register and ensure that risk assessments are completed for all significant risks activities.
