Performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. This is a position level for an accounting professional that has developed a very good understanding of advanced technical accounting concepts either through a professional accounting qualification (e.g. having been qualified a number of years), or significant related experience. An experienced finance professional (e.g. 3-4+ years PQE) who undertakes complex accounting tasks independently, and will typically manage a small team
  • Accountability for producing an accurate and complete trial balances and tax pack for the Plant covering the transactional processes and service towers of accounts payable; accounts receivable, transactional treasury and tax; metal and general ledger accounting.
  • Ensure the plant transactional finance teams deliver high quality services to agreed performance and cost targets, across these transactional finance processes.
  • Work closely with other global Plant Accounting Services Managers to agree and establish plant SLAs, operational finance KPIs, and service management performance expectations.
  • Accountable for overall cash collections and consults with India Finance Controller and Credit Risk Manager on collection issues and bad debts.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment for all transaction processes managed in plants, with guidance from the plant compliance and controls lead.
  • Supervising and supporting the performance and development of the Plant Transactional Processing Team.
  • Establishing supplier-customer relationships with India Finance Controller; Compliance & Controlling team and the Insights & Decision Support Team.
  • Act as a leading figure in change and continuous improvement within the plant’s transactional finance processes including implementation of innovative technologies, standard processes, process automation and productivity improvements.
  • Drive cultural and business change within plant Accounting Services team using agile and pragmatic frameworks.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in transactional finance processes and use this as a mechanism to upskill the plant finance team.
  • Key liasioning point for PWC half and full year audit management.
