As an Accounts Executive - Payroll, you will work closely with the HR business partners and payroll team, external vendors, and cross-functional partners. Core responsibilities include managing payroll activities; resolving employee queries; assisting on statutory regulatory filing related to payroll; tracking employee benefits, eligibility, and actuals; passing accounting entries in D365; and preparing month closing reports related to payroll.


Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring 1,500 employees’ payroll are processing within the agreed date
  • Ensuring all payroll related statutory payments and filings are completed within the due date
  • Demonstrating a good understanding of various labor laws
  • Providing right solutions towards employee queries related to payroll and other employee benefits
  • Independently handling audit/assessment/month closing queries and activities related to payroll
  • Updating and creating process documents related to payroll process and other related to activities
  • Assisting the reporting manager in preparing various payroll reports such as Dashboards and end-to-end metrics and other deliverables, etc.
  • Contributing to the team meetings and brainstorming sessions


The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Has a commerce background like B.Com/M.Com/ICWAI/MBA/semi qualified Chartered Accountant
  • 2 or more years of hands-on experience in any payroll software, preferably in ADP
  • Good working knowledge in MS Excel
  • Fair knowledge in Indian tax deduction at source (TDS) especially income from salaries
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal diplomatically with all internal stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver the work with highest accuracy and required quality
  • Ability to deliver the work within the agreed Turnaround Time (TAT)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to be quickly responsive to the escalations with high service levels
  • Ability to support any ad-hoc requirements
  • Ability to exhibit good energy within the team and willingness to learn more activities
  • Receptive to suggestions on areas of improvement
  • Hardworking and flexibility in working hours
  • Process driven and independent
  • Good time management skills and ability to perform during peak output requirements
