About the Team: The Network Quality team is part of the Ad Product Operations org and plays an integral function of managing advertising risk, working closely with the Trust & Verification and Policy teams to protect Users, Advertisers and Publishers alike. Ad Quality Analytics and Insights (AQAIs) specialists support the account managers, advertisers and publishers on the Verizon Media platforms globally. The key objective of this team is to keep Verizon Media’s ad platforms safe and trusted by confronting and preventing threats such as cloaking and other ad quality issues.

We deliver high value services throughout the entire lifecycle of programmatic client/partner relationships to further Verizon Media’s mission to create the most trusted and valuable platform for publishers, advertisers, developers and users.

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated analytics and insights specialist, to help scale our growing ad quality business. Being a key member of the Network Quality Team at Verizon Media’s APO organization, AQAIs will be working closely with sales, product, engg, data science, ad policy and other partners to analyze and improve ad quality performance.

AQAIs will work with Verizon Media’s unique advertiser, ad quality and revenue data, translate them into actionable insights/reports, take preventive actions and make product recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the ad platforms.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Leverage Verizon Media’s proprietary ad quality data and build insights to improve the health of the advertising ecosystem

  • Demonstrate great analytical ability, and build expertise in Verizon Media’s proprietary systems, ad policies and data sets

  • Work to constantly evolve how we analyze and communicate data driven insights to our partners

  • Provide actionable insights to the clients and collaborate with the relevant internal stakeholders in order to present a complete solution

  • Deliver on ad-hoc requests and advanced analytics projects with efficient methods, appropriate analytical techniques, and best-in-class outputs

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams like Trust & Verification, Data Science, Sales and Ad Policy

  • Assist with escalation management and machine learning models

  • Ability to think strategically, persuade stakeholders effectively

  • Communicate regularly to stakeholders on status, risks, and change

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, engineering or related field

  • 4+ years of experience with fraud investigations, ad quality, Internet advertising, or e-commerce. along with working in a security and/or privacy team on data protection and user trust.

  • Advanced knowledge in MySQL, Unix, Hive, Tableau, Looker, Google Data Studio/Sheets, Excel

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple requests and teams to complete analysis and deliver results in a timely manner

  • Robust quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, good business acumen and experience in dealing with large volume of data

  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Ability to translate complex data into user-friendly insight and reports, especially to non-analytical stakeholders

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to interact with stakeholders, product and engineers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
