The Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) line of business serves institutional, ultrahigh net worth, high net worth clients through its Asset Management (AM) and retail clients through Wealth Management (WM) businesses. W e are one of the largest asset and wealth managers in the world.

This position is for an Associate role in the AM Finance & Business Management team extended to India, supporting the global structure. We act as trusted advisors to business heads (CFO / COO) and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from time to time as per business priorities. As individual contributor in the team the Business Manager would be responsible for the Controls, MIS reporting, Oversight of Financials & Operating metrics for the Investment business as well as supporting various ad-hoc / business initiatives.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Producing key metrics/decks for the senior management on regular / ad-hoc basis comprising of financial and operational details
  • Liaising / monitoring with Business teams on various first line of defense controls / audit responses / regulatory requirements
  • Engaging with key stakeholders across Globe (senior Business Managers, Client Advisors, Traders, Portfolio Managers) to understand challenges / pain-points and work on developing a solution
  • Work with COO/CFO on projects / initiatives to help the company achieve operational / financial goals
  • Driving business-initiated change management activities across the business (assess the ask, formulate solution in conjunction with business partners, manage the execution, measure success, manage risks & controls)
  • Provide implementation support including testing of new products, applications and business requirements
  • Identify and execute on efficiency/automation opportunities in the existing data consolidation / reporting processes
  • Lead collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, looking for ways to simplify, improve and add value to existing business processes

Personal Attributes

  • Ability to understand the requirements of the global partners and assist the team in maintaining the existing reporting procedures, tools and workflows necessary to facilitate the oversight process
  • Multi-task to make sure multiple projects are making progress and prioritize as per business requirements
  • Maintaining a very high level of competency when reviewing data and reports; quickly identifying and rectifying data and presentation issues
  • Good analytical skills to understand and formulate the problem looking at reports / processes and build solutions
  • Excellent communication (verbal / written) skills to liaison between Sr. Management and various teams like Controls, Audits, Technology, etc.
  • Manage projects / communications in a clear, concise and efficient manner with multiple teams locally and globally
  • Support all aspects of maintenance and improvement of the reporting / oversight processes by leveraging various Microsoft and third party tools like Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
  • Solid organizational skills with ability to consolidate and analyze data received from multiple businesses
  • Have foresight and understanding of AM business term, requirements & market trends

Qualification

  • MBA with 5-7 years of experience or graduate with 7 to 9 years of experience in in Banking / Asset Management
  • Sound Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Powerpoint is must (Access, Tableau, Alteryx knowledge would be a plus)
  • Experience / good knowledge of Asset Management industry is a plus but not a pre-requisite
