Area Business Manager - Agriculture Division

Education: BSc in Agriculture or related field

Experience: 4 to 6 years in sales and marketing within the agriculture industry

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Business Manager to lead our Agriculture Division. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets within the assigned area.
  • Build and manage a robust distribution channel network to ensure efficient product availability and penetration in the market.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agricultural associations, and relevant government agencies to enhance market presence and promote the company’s products.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure effective farmer contact programs, including field demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Oversee government leasing initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximizing opportunities for collaboration.
  • Take ownership of sales accountability by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring sales data, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities, trade shows, and exhibitions to increase brand visibility and attract potential customers.
  • Manage Field Officers (FOs) effectively, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal team performance.
  • Monitor and track liquidation of products, managing inventory levels, and implementing strategies to minimize stock holding costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and supply chain, to communicate market insights and contribute to product improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field (BSc in Agriculture preferred).
  • Proven experience of 4 to 6 years in sales and marketing roles within the agriculture industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of agricultural practices, products, and market dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of distribution channel management and farmer engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with government leasing processes and regulations in the agriculture sector.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned area as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹370,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
