Asset Management Analyst

Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Asset Management analyst, you are required to have adequate knowledge of overall Asset Management with domain knowledge in Software Asset management, be able to perform SAM BAU activities and be able to work in an agile way.

Responsibilities:

• You will have to maintain SW contract scope in Asset management tools and update missing ownership information by contacting DPE and close SW alerts with missing defined contract scope.
• Understand IBM software licensing model to validate and initiate procurement for missing entitlements and close alerts received in the Compliance tool.
• You will have to obtain necessary approvals from management regarding software procurement on time to make appropriate changes in SW tools and archive the approval artifacts in databases to ensure service health and audit readiness.
• Ensure complete software details are stored in Software contract manager tool (SWCM) or relevant tools within 30 days of the PO release.
• Keep a track of all deployed software that will be expiring soon and obtain necessary approvals to initiate SW renewals on time.
• Ensure all software assets that are deployed are with appropriate licenses and used as per IBM global software asset management policies and guidelines.
• Address compliance issues and exceptions through internal compliance management processes
• Generate reports on SW usage, SW renewals, SW licenses etc and circulate to management.
• Ensure correct software asset management data is available to reconcile and resolve complex problems regarding SW detection and reconciliation

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Understanding of both IBM and ISV (Independent software Vendor) software licensing models
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Good understanding of SAM & Tools knowledge, ITIL certification preferred

• Basic understanding of Service Now, Excel and proven soft skills
• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications etc

About Business UnitThis position currently sits within Global Technology Services (GTS) Infrastructure Services (IS) or a shared services function supporting GTS.
