Job Description:

What will be expected from you?

Serves as the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer for the site. Specific Technical responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for interfacing with electrical and instrumentation vendors, contractors and the upkeep of P&IDs, technical documentations (equipment & Instruments datasheet, PRV sizing, PHA, Hazop studies) in the documentation management system.
  • He should be able to demonstrate and display leadership in Knowledge and technical know-how of Instrumentation equipments and systems.
  • Making and Implementing, adherence of PM Plan, PM checklist, SOP and SOC, SIF and SIS testing and reading report, working with Instrumentation vendor (Emerson, Yokogawa and Honeywell).
  • Maintaining and indenting of the Critical Spares at site for the Electrical and Instrumentation functions.
  • Training and developments of the Subordinates, and systems and Procedures at site in E&I Department.
  • Lesioning and statutory compliance with DGVCL, Weights and Measure, Dg duty inspector.
  • He should be able to read the Single line Diagram, Electrical control philosophy, MCC and PCC of Electrical Distribution system, Earthing system and Lightening arrestors.
  • Responsible for evaluating new Instrument designs and verify design engineering calculations.
  • Participate in PSM, PHA, Pre- startup Safety review and other technical studies for site operations.
  • Responsible for Project Execution in Electrical and Instrumentation domain with External and Internal stake holders.
  • Responsible for Instrumentation and Electrical Installation trials at site.
  • Responsible for DCS, Electrical and Instrumentation problems and troubleshooting.
  • Serves as an advisor to the Maintenance manager on technical matters related to plant electrical and instrumentation department.
  • Serves as an advocate for use of Management of change for all process, facility and personnel changes.
  • Serves as a member for all safety improvement plans/ideas to raise safety engagement.
  • Leads investigation on quality, breakdown and incidence related issues and recommends permanent corrective/preventive measures to prevent reoccurrences.
  • He should have the good man management skills and able to work closely with Operation, Finance, procurement, Capex engineering department.
  • He should play a pivotal role during Capex decision during E&I Procurement, design phases.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

  • Min Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • 8 -10 years of technical experience in the, EPCM, petrochemical or refinery industry
  • Employees to be Supervised :9-12 team member
  • Demonstrate strong Safety leadership and good working knowledge on safe work practices, hazards associated with the chemistry and process safety management (PSM)
  • To follow site EHS procedure and best practices
  • Read and understand relevant procedure and perform the work safely
  • Follow the site PSM procedure and implement the PSM culture
  • Support site EHS in safety campaign, Safety observations to prevent the injuries
