We have an urgent requirement for Astt. Legal Manager for Chennai Location.


Role - Asst. Manager Legal

Exp - 5 to 10 Years

Location - Chennai


Industry of Interest - Retail, Food, FMCG, Agriculture, Dairy, Restaurants


Purpose of the role

This job is responsible for regionally monitoring of Legal functionality for setting processes and standardization of contracts, documentation, Sensitize stakeholders and mitigates risk for Tamil Nadu


Principal Responsibilities

  • Alignment with other teams and ensure timely resolutions within legal framework.
  • Assessment of risk and its mitigation
  • Create Legal Awareness across various teams in the region.
  • Assessment of commercials in the interest of the company
  • Inputs/Advice/Strategy on negotiations/ terms with LL.
  • Advice on Rent commencement/Penal provisions/escalation and other terms of Agreement.
  • Advice on licensing requirements.
  • Advice on brands/back of packs.
  • Advising on legal requirements/compliances/agreements.
  • Ensure Availability of information and documents.
  • Balancing between business requirements and protecting company interest.
  • 100% Compliance of statutory requirements across all locations at all times.
  • Frequent changes in statutory requirements.
  • Protection of Trade Marks due to Non-use.

Knowledge / Education

  • LLB Required
  • Must have 4-5 years of experience in Legal Compliance. Retail preferred.
  • Knowledge about the regional statutory requirements
