What you will do:

  • Responsible for managing high performance team of individuals to create world class medical devices.
  • Responsible for the timely and quality deliverables for various projects.
  • Work as point of contact for all people related aspects with the stakeholders and review meetings with the team to monitor progress of projects and provide guidance, develop contingent plans, and arrange resources as needed.
  • Align dedicated and shared resources cross-functionally to optimize to ensure achievement of business results, acquire and develop middle to junior level resources as needed, manage pipeline and contribute to absorption of new technologies, processes and methods by making them part of own team’s delivery plan and compliant to Quality Management System and Design Controls.
  • Communicating frequently across all project disciplines to ensure project team and senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues.
  • Develop Individual Development plans and conduct staffing reviews.
  • Setting up team’s KRAs and identifying the training needs based on Individual Development plan.
  • Review meetings with the team to monitor progress of projects and provide guidance, develop contingent plans, and arrange resources as needed.
  • Align dedicated and shared resources cross-functionally to optimize to ensure achievement of business results, acquire and develop middle to junior level resources as needed, manage pipeline.
  • Communicating frequently across all project disciplines to ensure project team and senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues.
  • Develop an environment to focus on customer needs, and an organization that has advanced understanding of external and internal customers to effectively improve design quality of products and services.
  • Develop an open culture to instill confidence, diversity of perspectives and knowledge sharing.
  • Compliance to Quality Management System and Design Controls.
  • Manage appropriate budgets in accordance with business plans under the necessary guidance.

What You need:

  • Educational degree of BE/B.Tech/ME/M. Tech in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering
  • Product development experience in a regulated environment like Medical devices, Aerospace etc.
  • Good Experience in project management principles and methodologies.
  • Work experience of 10-12 years in technical and people management roles
  • Must have led R&D teams for product development & testing with 3-5 years of people management experience of team size of 5-6 at least.
  • Strong People Management skills with proven records of leading and creating engaged teams.
  • Ability to influence, motivate and lead.
  • 4+ years of experience of managing budgets and justifying resource needs to senior leaders and finance partners.
  • Good to see experience of Mechatronic competency, Software Engineering critical experience (Embedded, Application & Mobile) or Firmware development and comfortable with SW development practices and models

Good to have:

  • US FDA quality regulations 21CFR part 820
  • ISO 13485 standards
  • Experience in working in a government-regulated industry

  • Goal oriented, strong sense of responsibility, and ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Requirement to work shifted hours when necessary to accommodate US time zone.
