Associate Project Engineer - Electrical

You will be working as Associate Project Engineer – Electrical and will be part of Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for performing basic and detail engineering activities and provide optimized solutions for the electrical system in industrial projects.

Your responsibilities

  • Designing calculations including transformer sizing (power, distribution and converter), battery and UPS sizing, DG sizing, VFD sizing, earthing calculation, cable sizing, cable tray sizing, lighting calculation, lightning calculation
  • Preparing data sheet and specification for all equipment used in industries like transformer, GCB, bus duct, medium voltage switchgear (both AIS and GIS), low voltage switchgear, battery/ UPS system, VFD, DG set, cable, cable tray, earthing and lightning, communication equipment’s
  • Detailing of equipment layout and section, earthing layout design, cable routing / cable tray layout, cable schedule and termination schedule preparation, bus duct layout, lighting layout, lightning layout, switchgear fixing arrangement drawing
  • Developing schematics for control and protection panels, synchronizing panels, medium voltage and low voltage switchgears based on project specific requirement
  • Developing of block logic diagram for medium voltage and low voltage switchgear
  • Preparing engineering schedule in line with agreed document deliverable list, matching engineering portion of project schedule

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Require 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in using design tools like earthing, lighting calculation tools etc., will be preferred
  • Basic knowledge of power system study and network modelling preferred
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with short submission deadline
  • Strong technical leadership skills, interpersonal skills, effective communication skills
