What You’ll Do

Responsible to plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations for MV & LV products (RMU, VCB, MCCB, ACB) and to ensure delivering quality products on a timely schedule, while meeting efficiency and productivity objectives. He will provide direction to production team and create the right network and collaboration relationship with other departments to facilitate the production flow, and achieve goals established for the period.

  • Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing plan which ensure the most effective return on assets.
  • Provide direct supervision for employees in assigned areas and lead in the coaching, counseling, and disciplinary/performance management activities while simultaneously administering and maintaining company local policies
  • Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas by maintaining 5S
  • Forecasting the requirements of the production to achieve the production target.
  • Initiative plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
  • Assure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while ensuring product standards that will exceed our customers expectations.
  • Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports Eaton’s strategic initiatives.
  • Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction,
  • Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact-based problem solving.
  • Minimizing ‘throughput time’ and ‘work in process inventory’.
  • Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes. Schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies.
  • Reducing the quality cost with the help of analysis of non-conformances on periodic basis and also by following suitable actions (both corrective and preventive).
  • Building team spirit among the workmen and also motivating by means of personal involvement.
  • Improving the productivity level of the workers on continuous basis by workmen’s training and by bringing into use the standards of the performance derived from work measurement studies etc.
  • Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with latest production and production management concepts.
  • To establish a continuous improvement culture and promote lean activities.
  • To deploy continuous improvement framework (CIF) in shopfloor
  • To assure productivity targets are met.
  • Maintain and maximize the utilization of the corporate assets of plant building and grounds, machine tools, process equipment.
  • Coordinate all maintenance activities required to keep production equipment and facilities at the proper conditions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • A minimum of 8-10 years equivalent experience in similar roles with progressive levels of responsibility in manufacturing with product knowledge of MV and LV products, (RMU, VCB, MCCB, ACB) "
Skills

"

  • Working knowledge of current manufacturing, engineering, project management and quality assurance methods and practices.
  • Have thorough understanding of plant layout, waste elimination, continuous improvement, engineering change contro and manufacturing and financial KPI.
  • Experience in Industry 4.0 and/or process automation is preferred
  • PC literate with MS Office 365 including Power Apps.
  • Experience working with ERP (SAP).
  • Decision making, sound business judgment.
  • Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience in a High Mix-Low Volume environment"
