What You’ll Do

    • Provides technical design input for systems to be manufactured for Concrete Batch Control systems
    • Installs electronic/electrical control systems produced by Command Alkon, including setup, testing & troubleshooting controls
    • Coordinates installation requirements and schedules with plant manufacturers, customers and subcontractors determining appropriate methods for installation
    • Mount components and terminate wiring within control panels
    • Calibrate and commission systems
    • Modify and create schematic drawings
    • Provide field and telephone support for Command Alkon products including the testing, diagnoses and repairs of control systems
    • Troubleshoot hardware & software problems as well as customer plant issues advising on the best cause of action for resolution;
    • Train the customer personnel
    • 20% Travel required in the UK and overseas
    • Provide out of hours support to customers on a scheduled basis.
    • Management of Stock Control and Stock Movement.
    • Import and Export of goods to customers and between internal companies, national and international
    • Spare Parts quotations and sales.
    • Technical sales assistance and post sales process
    • AMC administration, warranty and customer information
    • Liaise and coordinate with suppliers to procure parts needed for installations.

Who You Are

    • Strong industrial/electrical background required
    • Experience with automated controls using PC hardware and customer software
    • Microsoft Products, Networking and SQL database experience desirable
    • Process controls and instrumentation experience desirable
    • Self-motivated with a strong customer service orientation
    • Excellent communication skills and time management skills
    • Some project management experience is desirable
    • Concrete Industry experience is a plus
