Job Title: Senior Business Analyst (CPR)/ PO for Consulting Practice

Job Role: Senior consultant/Manager

Experience : 6-12 years

Base Location: Bangalore. Should be willing to travel internationally or within India (as per business requirements)

Job Description:

The role holders would be expected to work with Strategic Business Managers or work independently on

projects in driving the business towards decisions in matters of strategic, organizational, operational, and technological investment.

Project Business Analysis/Product Owner is responsible for identifying and documenting the business needs of their clients and stakeholders and helping to determine feasible solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems.

As a part of this role, you will be expected to:

  • Act as a link between the business and the development team to ensure that the requirements are met and help the larger IT team (cross-functional/cross-skilled) to deliver a solution that works for the client
  • Elicit requirements from varied stakeholder groups and precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, including health, safety, security, usability, data, and supportability considerations
  • Translate business requirements into functionality and assess various solution options risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts. Own end-to-end documentation of requirements including version control and required signoff from stakeholder groups
  • Support the development of Solutions/ Business Models/Business Platforms and provide recommendations and benefits for the buy-in of the recommended solution/business model and its implementation approach
  • Work with stakeholders across Business Units and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop one view of the value chain from the end customer’s perspective
  • Analyze current state legacy solutions/operating models against the target model to identify gaps and opportunities to support an effective transition toward the target state
  • Ensure traceability of requirements from business needs and requirements, through client demos, UAT, and scope changes, to the final solution
  • Interact with vendors, designers, and developers to understand limitations, deliver elements of system and database design, and ensure that business requirements and use cases are handled
  • Create acceptance criteria and validate those solutions meet business needs through defining and coordinating testing
  • Conduct comprehensive process review for end-to-end value chains, identified as per business priorities or delivery challenges
  • Responsible for delivering in the pre-initiation / early life cycle phases of projects globally or priority market business consulting initiatives
  • Create service offerings along with global colleagues and define key deliverables for Go to Market.
  • Work on Projects, Process Improvement related activities, of cross-functional nature across different geographies with multiple client business environments
  • Have experience on a varied range of projects ranging from process improvement, agile transformation, advisory/consulting, digital automation, product development, software implementation, and process mapping.

Critical Success Factor:

  • 7 to 10 years of Experience in Digital Transformation / Process Consulting / Business Consulting/Product Development
  • Master’s degree in business administration from a reputed institute
  • BA/PO Experience in at least one domain – Consumer Retail, CPG, E-commerce, SCM, logistics
  • BA/PO Experience in at least one domain – People domain, HR functions, Employee Central.
  • BA/PO Experience in at least one domain – Banking, CRM, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Automobile.
  • Good experience in working in SDLC and AGILE program management methods
  • At least two Relevant certifications e.g. – CSM/CSPO/SAFe PO/ECBA/ CCBA/CBAP
  • Strong interpersonal skills supported by excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong JIRA/VSTS, ServiceNow, and MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Experience working in applications - ERP, MS dynamics 365, Blue Yonder, Manhattan WMS, SAP Success factor, SAP Payroll, SAP Open Text, etc.
  • Ability to steer programs/initiatives/projects with senior leadership, Participation in RFP mapping and submission, Experience in GTM strategy and business development activities
  • Critical Thinking, Decision Making, Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Data Interpretation & Analytical skills
  • Leadership in Cross-functional team situations, ability to work both as an individual and in a team
  • Ability and willingness to work on short deadlines and handle multiple projects at a time

Good to Have:

  • Additional certifications for e.g., Green Belt/Sig Sigma/ Process improvement/ PMP, PRINCE2
  • Experience in driving process re-invention projects.
  • Must have worked in developing thought leadership – White Papers, Concept notes, POVs, etc on emerging techs for the Retail and CPG
