Role Description

Chief Miller is responsible for the daily Milling Operations, Administration, Maintenance and Inventory of Flour Mill. Chief Miller oversees employees, production and efficiency, to make sure the plant is running smoothly, quickly, efficiently, hygienically and safely. Chief Miller maintain optimum operation by assigning workers, creating and keeping work and production schedules, hiring and training new employees, collecting and looking through data to find places of waste or places of improvement, keep an eye on worker safety and plant safety, monitor the production equipment to make sure that it stays in good working order and repair / service or replace the equipment when needed

Qualifications

  • Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of machinery used in the food processing industry
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Good communication skills and ability to work efficiently as part of a team
  • CFTR/I Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering is preferable, but not required
