Morgan’s Securities Services business is comprised of Custody, Accounting, Transfer Agency, Middle Office outsourcing, Foreign Exchange, and other activities related to servicing assets for traditional and alternative funds; it leverages its scale and capabilities in more than 100 markets to help clients optimize efficiency, mitigate risk and enhance revenue through a broad range of investor services as well as securities clearance, collateral management and alternative investment services.

Investment Information Services Overview:

Investment Information Services (IIS) forms part of the Global Funds Services group. Our mission is to support our clients’ investment process by providing market leading services across the investment risk, return, analytics and post-trade investment compliance spectrum via an integrated data and information delivery strategy. We are a group of Quantitative analytics experts (Quants) with deep knowledge of financial products, complex datasets, mathematical/econometrics models as well as analytics system engineering. We design, develop and implement client’s facing analytics solution.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

  • Product Development:Developing/improving models for performance, investment insight, liquidity, ex-ante and ex-post risk, environmental social governance (ESG analytics), compliance and other post-trade models for the IIS product. There may be some custom deliverables for high-profile and complex clients
  • Visualization and Reporting:Developing/improving advanced/intuitive visualization integrating multiple post-trade analytics into client-friendly interface
  • Model and Data Governance:Familiarity with internal and regulatory guidelines on Model governance. Implementation of remediation; reviewing the process of data feeds from multiple upstream systems
  • Client Support:Create factsheets with client’s investment analytics datasets through API and also support advanced client and product managers for explanation on data and associated analytical results
  • Publishing and Thought leadership:Publish industry leading papers on newer investment trends such as Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) and methodology to co-integrate them into investment and exposure reporting process
  • Community:Assist with training of internal users and clients on investment analytics

Required skills/experience:
  • Excellent communication skills are required as the candidate will be required to interact extensively with the product management, technology, and control teams
  • Healthy interest in good software design principles is essential
  • Role requires a detailed understanding of new age FinTech and Financial Modelling
    • It is understood that the candidate may not have this knowledge from previous experience, but the successful candidate should be highly motivated to gain this knowledge
  • A Ph.D. or a Master’s or B.Tech/B.E degree in a numerate subject from a top academic institution is highly desirable, but not an absolute requirement
  • Highly analytical bent of mind
  • Strong capability in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics and Data analytics
  • High level of proficiency in C++/JavaScript or Python programming
  • High performance computing and memory management
  • Good exposure to developing on Hadoop-based platforms and data visualizations
  • Parallel/Distributed computing experience a plus
  • Close attention to detail and ability to work to very high standards
