Who is encouraged to apply:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced IT software engineer with extensive experience on highly available, high throughput backend systems development. You will be expected to design cloud-native API services, integrate security, guide application networking requirements, design for high availability and horizontal scalability. You will also plan your application monitoring and servicing capabilities for autoscaling, nearly zero-downtime upgrades and so on.

Main responsibilities:
Identifying the hardware and software infrastructure needs to accommodate the architectural goals. Troubleshooting design flaws and system bottlenecks. Ensure backend systems have no single point of failure and are ready to scale on demand Work together with DevOps team to automate your application’s CI/CD pipelines; Work together with DevSecOps teams to achieve requirements for production deployment and operations handover;

Secondary responsibilities:
Provide L2 support for troubleshooting and solving issues when they cannot be worked around by L1; Support and mentor younger members on their career development as a backend engineer; Collaborate with offshore teams on software development;

Minimum Qualifications:
Education on Engineering or IT related field 10+ years experience on Software Development 8+ years experience on Backend Systems development 8+ years experience with Java development 2+ years experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka Streams, Spark Streams 2+ years experience developing Microservice applications 1+ years experience with docker 1+ Years experience with Kubernetes 1+ Year experience in Cloud technologies Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases; Experience with EFK stack Experience in designing large scale enterprise systems Adapt at learning and applying new technologies Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills Business level communication in English

Additional qualifications that gives you an advantage (not required):

Experience in IoT and Telco domain Experience with Hardware Security Modules and Key Management Systems; Experience with OpenID and Oauth2.0, KeyCloak, etc.;

Experience with secret management tool such as vault;

Business Level communication in Japanese;
