A Little About The Role

This position is responsible for the analysis, provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems for cloud and on-premise infrastructure hardware, network, software and related technologies. Support will primarily be from a remote standpoint, however occasional travel will be required.

This position ensures that system-hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to corporate standards and are operational as required by service level agreements. Additional duties include participating in end-user technical support on an as needed basis, as well as defining, coordinating, implementing and documenting technical standards.

Day-to Day
    • Provision and configure Virtual, Cloud servers, Physical systems, ensuring systems are compliant and work reliably.
    • Install and Configure Linux and Windows operating systems in the cloud or on-premise.
    • Perform daily monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all server hardware, resources, and key processes
    • Troubleshoots Linux and Windows hardware and software issues and identifies and resolves hardware and software application problems
    • Repair and recover from hardware, software and process failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
    • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
    • Support of deployment/management of end-user linux laptops.
    • Apply patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure /add new services as necessary.
    • Develop infrastructure documentation, technology mappings in compliance with SOP’ s.
    • Implement and maintain standards across the PMG businesses and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
    • Participates in answering, evaluating, and prioritizing service requests.
    • Ensures timely resolution of user issues by assigning appropriate priority and resolution goal.
    • Perform audit checks for security, process and resource compliance.
    • Participates in Cybersecurity defense.
    • Works closely with professionals to answer technical questions or resolve issues with server performance and access.
    • Performs diagnostics to collect information to determine source of error.
    • Infrequent travel to sites may be required.
Qualifications

Minimum
    • Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years working as a server/network administrator in a medium-large scale business environment.
Other Required
    • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification required
    • Azure A+, Net+ or MS certifications or equivalent experience a plus
    • Minimum of 3 years working and supporting cloud implementation in AWS.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an end-user, technical support role
Preferred Skills And Experience
    • Support and management of AWS cloud services and Iaas environments: EC2, Virtual networks, Peer Vnets, Loadbalancing, Backup and replication, S3 buckets, IAM, Kubernetes, Container management.
    • Operating Systems: Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, Red Hat, Microsoft Windows Server 20xx, Microsoft Windows 10, Mac 10.x, Android, iOS, Windows Mobile
    • Experience with Web server technologies (DNS, Apache, NGINX, IIS). Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet), Network tools (tcpdump, iptables, HAP, Linux IPVS), Linux scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python,), Monitor System Performance (Cloudwatch, Logic Monitor), Management of DNS, Namespaces, Network shares, and mapped drives, Backup Technologies and Concepts (Druva, Veem, Commvault), Microsoft Office 2010 / 2013 / 2016 and Office for Mac 2011 / 2016 and Office 365
    • Experience with automated deployment and integration tooling. (Github)
    • Comfortable working working with Docker, Linux, and within the command line and deploying and managing replication, HA and failover technologies
    • Experiense in identity management: AWS IAM, Active Directory management,, Microsoft Azure, Patch management and Vulerability support technologies. (Qualys, Kaseya, Windows defender), Network: Vnets, Switches, Routing Configuration management, Security: Firewalls, Cloud Environments, Software and Appliances, Encryption
    • Strong in technical troubleshooting and the use of troubleshooting utilities.
    • Experience with end-user support, help desk ticketing software, hardware and software upgrades, hardware and software troubleshooting
    • Ability to perform light to medium physical work of lifting up to 50 pounds
