  • Help to implement the firm’s compliance program and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Help to manage and respond to external inquiries, audits, questions, questionnaires and reviews (by a regulator or exchange) in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Develop compliance communications and providing ongoing advice to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, schedule and conduct required compliance training for employees.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and communicating risk opportunities to relevant groups in the firm.
  • Help manage external relationships between the firm and external stakeholders including regulators and exchanges. Keep abreast of regulatory changes, seek advice from the appropriate advisors and disseminate information to business stakeholders.
  • Help to provide oversight of trading and market surveillance.
  • Help the firm to meet all of its reporting requirements and obligations completely and accurately.
  • Review and improve the firm’s control processes through compliance monitoring and oversee the regular completion of the firm’s Compliance Monitoring Program.
  • Maintain / update the firm’s policies and procedures, compliance manual and other internal compliance documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.
Skills You’ll Need
  • At least 5 years of experience, preferably within a Compliance team of bank at FPI desk.
  • A bachelor’s degree in technology, business, finance or CA/CS.
  • Good working knowledge of Indian regulation as it applies to stockbrokers.
  • Open to sit and secure necessary NISM exams.
  • Experience dealing directly with regulators and compliance departments of Indian trading venues.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude for working in startup environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to issue spot and devise mitigation solutions with a hands-on mentality.
  • Ability to thrive, adapt, and excel in a flat, dynamic high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high level of communication with stakeholders.
  • Experience in working in a highly metrics-driven environment.
  • Experience in handling confidential data.
  • The ability to work independently and the judgment to involve others when needed.
  • Open to learning
  • Reliable and predictable availability.
Good To Have
  • Proficiency in any technical language i.e. Python/SQL.
