The Gobal Rights team is a part of legal team who is responsible to handle all kind of contract drafting and proving legal guidance to stake holders.
Provides proactive, efficient and confidential contractual support to Content teams by: (a) reviewing and, where necessary, drafting various contractual documentation including journal and book author and editor contracts/amendments/terminations, as well as independent contractor agreements and services contracts; (b) ensuring that contractual documentation complies to Elsevier and RELX processes and policies; (c) recognising and escalating matters that create significant risk to the business or that require additional legal input; (d) reviewing the work of others for accuracy when required; and (e) taking on other contract-related tasks as and when needed for departmental objectives, such as training, preparation of self-help tools for the business, automation of contracts and improvement of existing processes. Has strong knowledge of intellectual property/legal concepts, practices, and procedures and experience working with a variety of commercial contracts.
