Job Description and Qualifications

Cost Engineer ::
Roles and Responsibility:

  • Minimum of five to ten years cost related experience within a large project oriented EPC or Owner organization. Experience with Energy and Chemical processing related business and projects a plus.

  • Five to ten years of experience and skills to support all phases of project execution, especially around Project cost forecasting process. Ability to analyze project Work Breakdown Structures for internal engineering labor, equipment procurement, construction and start up/commissioning project phases.
Experience on setting up baseline cost reports, cost spread and cash flows. Monitoring these deliverables on periodic basis with focus on cost forecasting.

  • Understanding of a variety of project types, structures and contract terms. This includes Third Party Sale of Equipment, Joint Ventures, Capital, and Cost Sharing type arrangements.

  • Experience and Skills to apply understanding of projects on global basis. Requirements such as performing foreign currency analysis within projects, assessing currency risk exposures, advising Treasury of FX requirements and changes, supporting projects executed by multiple engineering offices, and understanding intercompany project ramifications.

  • Previous SAP and Ecosys PMIS experience strongly preferred, especially around SAP Project Systems module. This would be an added advantage

  • Five to ten years of demonstrated experience and sound interpersonal and communication skills across all standard Engineering organizational levels and functions. Able to work directly with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Functional leads. Understand what their roles are and how they correlate to the project deliverables and overall execution.

  • Flexibility to periodically travel on both an India domestic and International basis. Some travel requirements could be in increments for several weeks at a time.
