The Data Associate is a valuable member of the Data Team, directly contributing to the company in the provision of data, insights, and market intelligence for the financial services industry
This position will provide the opportunity to become an Institutions data specialist, covering key Companies in the industry, their Investment Portfolios and their key People
The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in internet research, reviewing annual reports, data entry, data collection, data processing, data accuracy, and insights into the financial services sector
Working within a long-established Data Team where members are passionate about data, financial services and researching
Each team member will have access to professional learning material, professional software, industry events and media titles to support their growth and expand their knowledge of the financial services

Responsibilities

Researching and confirming business information, investment portfolios and contact details.
Researching company websites and other sources for information.
Reading key media titles on the financial services market.
Data collection and processing of data for Companies, Investment Portfolios and Contacts.
Maintaining a database.
Assisting with processing subscriber and publication, address and email data.
Communication of tasks, progress, successes, and deadlines to the team.
Participating in an ongoing professional learning and development program in financial services.

Qualifications

Passionate about Data and /or financial services.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
University qualified in a relevant field, including, but not limited to Finance, Commerce, Business, Marketing or Economics.
Strong communication skills.
Strong Internet research skills.
Strong MS Office suite skills.
1 to 13 years experience with data and/or conducting research.
Well organised and pro-active.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Genuine interest in learning about the financial services industry.
