The Global Sales Programs - Product & Infrastructure team is looking for a Data & Insights Engineer to join a high pace, high impact team charged to develop and scale our fastest growing products as well as to deliver innovative technology and business solutions for our Operations and Sales teams. In this role, you will be focused on data engineering and dashboard building to deliver value to Salesforce’s Global Sales & Distribution Organization.

The ultimate goal of this role is to allow Global Sales and Operations to operate more effectively, improve productivity, and drive better business results. You will be part of an amazing Global team where teamwork and collaboration are fostered by all, across borders and groups.

You will be a critical data engineering partner to technical and business teams alike. This role will include doing business discovery, sql development, pipeline construction, advanced dashboarding, and product management of the tools and data you produce. Responsibilities and Impact:

• Drive customer-centric discovery to ensure your work meets the needs of the business
• Practice an owner’s mentality by deeply understanding both the business and the technology you work with
• Own the development, maintenance, and accuracy of key data pipelines & dashboards
• Serve as a technical ambassador to the business to drive adoption of your work
• Turn cross-functional business requirements into database logic
• Create dashboards & reports to support a global multi-billion dollar business
• Define database architecture & governance

Required Skills:

• Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and translate their feedback into technical requirements
• 3+ years of experience with sql
• 2+ years of experience with python
• 2+ years of experience with Apache Airflow or similar ETL tools
• Demonstrated history of producing impactful dashboards with Tableau or similar BI tool
• Expert proficiency working with large, complex relational databases
• Ability to proactively shift technical focus when business needs change
• Knowledge of API Services (SOAP and REST)
• Comfortable using GitHub for version control
• Design, develop and document database objects with the best architectural principles and patterns
• Demonstrate operational excellence and strong can-do attitude

Desired Skills:

• Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related professional/academic experience
• Experience developing in an enterprise environment such as source code control, continuous deployment, release management
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Experience with saql or similar data programming language a plus
• Tableau or Salesforce Admin / Developer Certifications a plus
• Experience with Snowflake, Apache Spark, and Mulesoft a plus
