RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

  • Assist the Credit Head in defining and developing the credit policy for the Affordable Home Loans product with adherence to compliance, market practices and in consultation with the Central Credit team
  • Credit appraisal of applications within defined guidelines and TATs. Take credit decision or recommend case for approval to higher authorities
  • Train underwriting / sales (in-house and outsourced) team to ensure high quality credit appraisal of loan proposals within the agreed TAT
  • To interact closely with other functions such as Sales / Operations / Collections / Compliance / Legal / Policy etc. in ensuring smooth day to day functioning
  • Analysis of regular bouncing customers to identify the lead indicators of portfolio stress and provide suitable inputs to the Senior Management team to fine tune the credit policy
  • Responsible for successful conduct of internal and regulatory audits on the portfolio

CORE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of the Home Loans lending space, customer preferences in local real estate markets
  • Analytical & Quantitative skills - Has the ability to assemble, analyze and evaluate data to help assess risk and make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations
  • Understanding and hands-on experience of executing lending related documentation such as loan agreement, security documents, KYC etc
  • Relates well with clients at appropriate levels and establishes good working relationships where appropriate
