Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience leading creative development of integrated marketing campaigns for brands, within an agency or in-house client team

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience as an Associate Creative Director/Creative Director in an advertising agency, with experience across online, offline, and social media, and a strong portfolio of creative work
  • Ability to craft and tailor messages and narratives compellingly for all forums and occasions, in written or verbal form
  • Ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, pushing beyond one’s comfort zone to learn and address new challenges every day
  • Sound leadership skills and competencies: business vision, accountability, team management, learning orientation, humility, cross-functional collaboration

About the job

Whether you’re on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product’s journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you’ll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Brand Marketing Manager, Creative, you will focus on reminding people what they love about Google. You will work across a wide variety of products and initiatives, leading integrated creative development: from brief, positioning and creative strategy to execution and delivery. You will collaborate with product and brand marketers (global, regional, local), cross-functional teams (Public Relations, Public Policy, Legal) and external agencies to connect the dots, find new opportunities to tell the Google story in India, and build Google’s brand from the inside. You will help identify, onboard, and train agencies; build internal creative capacity; be a custodian of our brand and guidelines; and conceptualize and execute key brand projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with marketers and agencies to develop brand strategies and creative work.
  • Own creative development: write and deliver the brief; guide and project manage the agency in developing positioning, creative strategy, creative execution, and delivery.
  • Collaborate to build and execute the annual Brand Marketing calendar.
  • Own some of our creative agency relationships, selecting and equipping our agency partners to succeed.
  • Build creative capacity within India Marketing by developing and running programs to enhance marketers on creative decision making, and campaign and agency management.
