ROLE: CAD Technician – working on Transportation/ ITS Technology projects

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Several years working within engineering and design sector, preferably with a background in Highways and ITS Technology design.
  • Experience on Highway/ ITS Technology CAD layouts.
  • Experience of working with ProjectWise is preferable.
  • Working knowledge of BIM and drawing processes.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD/BIM software, particularly AutoCAD, Micro-station and Navisworks.
  • An experienced view and clear understanding of the highways and Technology of designs, models and drawings.
  • Checking/reviewing of models and drawings produced by others.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software packages.
  • Ability to plan work to make optimum use of time.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • ITI, Diploma – CIVIL / EEE / E&C Draftsman
  • 4 to 8 years on infrastructure projects and detail design of ITS Technology Design.
  • AutoCAD & Civil 3D (Basics)
  • Working experience with Highways / ITS Technology projects in UK projects is desirable.
  • Civil 3D/ MX Roads / Google Earth pro will be an added advantage.

Software Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D (Basics)
  • MS Outlook, and MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Good communication & IT skills.
  • Self-starter and keen to develop automation in CAD processes.
  • Experience in Global Design Centre business preferred.
