KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Regional ownership for Raw Materials (DY/CHEM) sourcing & purchasing activities

  • Responsible and accountable for Strategic & Crtical Supplier performance,

  • Develop high sensitivity to market movement and cost structure for key materials to identify opportunities for cost reduction and ensure assurance of supply

  • Oversee and manage supplier performance, Vendor On boarding and compliance for respective category,

  • Maintain and update legal documents/agreements for 3rd Party Vendors/Tollers.

  • Identify supply/ quality risk and continuously work towards improvement through Alternate vendor development, Vendor consolidations,

  • Participate in Vendor Quality & EHS Audits, and implement continuous improvement plan

  • Coordinate with Site & cross functions to solve critical issues originated from suppliers related to Quality, OTIF etc,

  • Strong knowledge and awareness wrt to RM price trends and historic data, Update critical inputs with respect to market intelligence

  • Maintain and optimize purchasing process in compliance with business strategy and sustainability requirements

  • Participate, spearhead and implement Regional/site projects with Cross functional teams,

  • Be accountable for Strategic Purchasing initiatives/ projects (P2) for respective category

  • Support / coordinate on Regional regulatory projects - INDIA REACH, BIS, MSME,

  • Lead and support Internal and External Audits ISO, Blue sign, Responsible Care etc

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: University degree in chemistry or equivalent.

  • Experiences: At least 5-8 years’ experience in Purchasing or Sourcing preferably in the chemical industry.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Microsoft office proficient

  • Fluent in English, both written & speech

  • Strong Domain knowledge

  • Confident and Proactive

  • Willing to travel extensively if needed

  • Leadership skills with a strategic mindset.

  • Working experience on SAP MM module required

  • Exposure / Knowledge on Ariba preferred.
