About The Role
Job Description

This role will focus on developing and delivering construction management projects (PMC) across the industrial (manufacturing) sector for major MNC/ Indian clients.

The incumbent will be responsible for remotely managing multiple construction sites through construction supervision teams deputed at site(s).

The role holder will play a key role in the capacity and capability building of construction management services, increasing skills, building the talent pipeline and achieving an optimal level of local resources to minimise risk and maximise commercial performance. As well as a focus on delivery, the Construction Management Leader will also support business development activity by means of creating and capturing emerging opportunities for the bid team to position and Win.
Key Role
  • Providing technical guidance for multi-discipline construction activities for all project sites.
  • Key point of contact person for construction sites (for MM’s local resident team(s) as well as client’s representatives at site).
  • Team up with the project teams internally to resolve all site related activities with respect to quality, constructability, schedule, contractor performance, health, safety, security and wellbeing.
  • Regularly visiting the construction site for attending client monthly meetings, resolving technical issues, controlling the construction supervision team, providing the necessary technical coaching to the construction supervision resources
  • Owns full accountability of the construction resources for the utilization forecasting, recruitment and discontinuity, performance improvement, training, and development on concurrent basis.
  • Liaise closely with Key account managers of the division to develop and implement effective implementation plans to realize revenue and improve margin.
  • Reporting the construction progress for each site with clearly highlighting the quality/time compliance, proposed corrective actions, client feedbacks, safety and health incidences and positive interventions towards overall project .
  • Work with the Divisional Development manager to explore new target opportunities. Collates market intelligence on proposed investments, changes in Viable landscape and buying behavior of target customers
  • Ability to estimate efforts in delivering projects, risks associated with project delivery and crucial delivery approach and bid commercials.
  • Need to manage relationship with potential partners for major projects/Bids.
  • Provide feedbacks about the projects and client’s expectation through effective Customer Engagements to internal stake holders.
  • Help in establishing our right to win with strategic inputs on key proposals with unique differentiation and value proposition.
Candidate Specification
Candidate Requirements
  • Engineering Degree (civil/mechanical) with MBA in construction management preferred
  • Well rounded experience in working with a leading PMC/ Design firms having experience in manufacturing sector with larger role in dealing with clients on construction activities as consultant.
  • Proactive and quality oriented, with a client-centric outlook, together with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Key attributes: speaks persuasively, written communication, pleasant personality, ability to articulate thoughts, strategic in approach, convincing ability, vivid presenter.
  • Member of relevant institution with strong networking amongst fraternity.
  • Good commercial and contractual acumen with high sense of urgency to meet contractual obligations agreements with Clients.
  • Analytical thinking and decisive. Strong problem-solving skills.
